Program Structure
Your veterinarian prescribed rehabilitation for your pet, and you are on board and motivated.
But, how will this work?
At-Home 8-Week Program
This program REQUIRES your veterinarian to complete a referral process for your pet. This is a self guided, 8-week rehab program, where the Initial Consultation fee actually covers TWO home visits:
-Visit 1: I perform my initial assessment (fitness, training, temperament, etc), take measurements as needed/allowed by your pet, and review the type of “equipment” you already have at home. We also discuss your personal goals and expectations.
-Visit 2 (same week): I deliver your pet’s tailored treatment plan, explain the exercises assigned, go over precautions/progressions, and give you additional free resources you can use during the entire rehab program and thereafter. Your attending veterinarian will receive documentation of both visits, everything we discussed and further follow ups to keep in your pet’s medical record.
Afterwards, follow ups via phone calls, text or email will be free for the remaining 7 weeks. You will have the option of adding additional home visits and/or a detailed weight loss program for an addional fee. Please keep in mind that should any complication arise during the program, I will ALWAYS advise you to schedule an appointment with your attending veterinarian for re-evaluation.
In-Clinic Rehabilitation Packages
Please call your attending veterinarian and ask if they have partnered with me to offer in-clinic rehabiliation programs. If a partnership has been established, their staff will be able to tell you about the packages offered and their costs.
What services are included in the programs?
Benefits of at-home rehab
Your pet stays relaxed and does not “mask” abnormal behaviors - have you ever arrived to the veterinarian’s office and your pet is suddenly “cured”? that can happen if your pet gets anxious, as it can trigger a release of adrenaline that can make him/her feel better momentarily.
You don’t worry about loading your pet into your vehicle - if you have a little dachshund or a shih-tzu, this may not be a problem, but if you have a german shepherd, a labrador or a great pyreness, it can be difficult to get them into your vehicle, and you run the risk of injuring yourself as well.
Is easier and faster to get a work-out session - whether you run on a tight schedule between work and family events, or have a flexible life style, you can easily get a rehab session completed in just 30-45min without adding travel or wait time at your vet’s office.
Allows you to complete more rehab sessions per week - just like working out, a rehab program is more effective when 3-4 sessions a week are completed, and it gives you the opportunity to asses your pet’s movement daily and adjust the program accordingly.
